A staff of the Nigeria Television Authority, (NTA) Onwukwe Chukwu Obiahu, who was murdered in Kogi state, has been laid to rest.
The 36-year-old engineer was reportedly stoned to death by suspected bandits in Okene shortly after he closed from work on Monday, September 6, 2021.
The police said the victim was murdered in circumstances that were still unclear.
Odiahu was suspected to have been stoned to death by unknown persons and his dead body was discovered the following morning.
Recall that the spokesman of the Kogi State Police command, DSP William Ayah confirmed the death.
According to him, information got to the command that an unidentified corpse was discovered along Okene-Magogo road at about 6.30am.
Ayah stated that when the Okene division visited the scene, it was discovered that the dead man was a staff of Nigeria Television Authority, Okene.
He added that when the body was examined, it was discovered to have been bruised and had blood stains all over.
