Kogi SDP Chair Dumps Party for APC, Meets Gov. Bello 

The former Kogi State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Muktar Atimah has resigned from the party to align with Governor Yahaya Bello and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Governor Bello on Thursday received Atimah at his Lugard House office in Lokoja.

Atimah who was the pioneer Chairman of SDP in the state, said the developmental projects accomplished by the Governor Yahaya Bello led government, motivated his decision to leave the SDP.

He praised Bello for his remarkable ability to unite party members and achieve significant electoral victories, congratulating him for the success of his party.

He also pledged to contribute his quota to the development of the State.

On his part, the governor commended Muktar Atimah for his foresight and objectivity after witnessing the remarkable achievements of the state under his leadership.

Governor Bello assured of more opportunities to all Kogites who wish to join the government through the APC.
