Kogi United Fires Coach over Poor Performance

The management of Kogi United FC  has sacked its technical adviser, Coach Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi over his reported poor performance in the current Nigeria National League season.

The team has reportedly not won any match this season.

Adewuyi’s sack was contained in a statement by the club’s media officer, Godwin Wambebe on Monday.

Wambebe said the development was contained in a Letter dated 1st May 2023 issued by the Club Chairman, Abdulmalik Isah who thanked Coach Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi for his services to the Club and wished him well in his future endeavours.

“In the meantime, Assistant Coach, Chidi Oji will take charge until a substantive Technical Adviser is appointed. He will be ably assisted by Goalkeeper Trainer Coach Abdulazeez Adeiza and Mohammed Yusuf” the statement added.

Recall that, Kogi United last week Saturday lost to EFCC by 1:0 at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium.
