As the world awaits the peaceful transition of political leadership from Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello to Governor-elect, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, come this Saturday,it has become imperative to call for a complete departure from the ills and wrongs of the past political culture in the state.

As we move forward with the challenges of the new political climate,it is necessary to draw our attention to the need for all political actors and power players to do away with politics of bitterness and acrimony in the new dispensation.

This is the time to bury the destructive tendencies of marginalization and social injustice in power sharing and implementation of dividends of democracy.

Let there be inclusiveness of all ethnic groups, irrespective of political affiliations, in appointments and other economic patronage.

Let the opposition political parties play responsible and progressive politics in the best interest of the state.

As we have learned recently,no section of the state is greater and more important than another.

Kogi State belongs to all of us.

We all need each other to achieve our individual and collective aspirations in politics.

This is the time for the enthronement of peace, unity, harmony and progress for the benefits of all Kogites.

Welcome to a new order.
