Kogi PDP to Gov Bello: ‘Please Fix Those Wells on Lokoja Township Roads’

…

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state has called on the state Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello to be responsible to his duties, and fix what it described as “well sized dug spots” in Lokoja, the state capital.

The statement signed by the party’s Director of Media and Communications, Comrade Dayo Onibiyo, stated that the roads are in pitiable and near impassible states, that does not befits even a village setting talk more of a supposed city which connects the Northern and Southern parts of the country.

The party said it regretted that the spots are hindrances to both vehicular and human movements and noted with dismay, its endangering tendencies to everything that runs through it.

“Unfortunately, we pity APC members and their cronies, who today plies the road too, and these once upon a time good roads, don’t ask for their party or who you support, so as to exempt them from it’s escrusating pains, many dangers including delays and total hooks at most times, not to mention accidents” the statement reads in part.

“The party wonders, what the Governor who in his mind, is aspiring to be the President of only God knows which country, intends to use to campaign as he goes around flighting state resources to wastages, on purely self interest and parochial mission at the detriment of developing the state and living as parasite on it’s lean resources,” the statement read.

The party highlighted some roads to include “the Police Headquarters entry, near the traffic on the road leading to Paparanda, from all edges, the one at Oando fuel station around UBA, the one in front of the Specialist Hospital, Ganaja Junction before the bridge and after the bridge, Ganaja Village, Barack road, Sango

“It’s sad to observe that, it will be difficult to talk about other death traps on roads connecting the state capital, otherwise, known as “longest graves” from the West to the East and Central of Kogi state when a Governor can’t fix roads inside the state capital. This is not just disgraceful but hope killing for the state, when other states are already fixing roads in the remote villages.

“The party therefore, calls on all sons and daughters of Kogi state as well as residents alike to pray for the state to survive these perilous times under Yahaya Bello.”
