Kogi state, one of the 36 states in Nigeria is made up of 21 Local Government areas.
The state is divided into three senatorial districts namely, Kogi East, Kogi Central and Kogi West.
In like manner, there are three major tribes in the state, namely, Igala, Ebira, and Okuns, occupying East, Central and West respectively.
The other minority tribes include Ogori, Bassa, Oworo, Kakanda, Ebirakoto, amongst others.
