The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the names of candidates and their running mates for the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State.
Recall that the commission had on Thursday, announced it will publish the personal particulars of the candidates in the State Headquarters and Local Government Offices “as required by section 29 (3) of the Electoral Act 2022.”
The list released earlier on Friday, showed the political parties’ candidates and running mates.
However, ebirareporters.com gathered that some of the parties uploaded names of placeholders for running mates in order to beat the May 5th, 2023 deadline for upload of names.
Some of the top contenders include:
AA – Olayinka Braimoh / Simon Ogwu
ADC – Leke Abejide/ Dauda Ismaila Onoruoiza
APC – Ahmed Usman Ododo / Suleiman A. Abdullahi
LP – Okeme Adejoh / Ocheja Edogbo Sunday
NNPP – Musa Mubarak / Tenimu Idris
SDP – Ibrahim Jibrin / Ajodo Damian Monday
PDP – Dino Melaye / Habibat Mohammed Deen
