‘Kogi Delegates Betrayed Him’: Reactions as Gov. Yahaya Bello Scores 47 in APC Presidential Primary

Reactions have trailed the votes polled by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State in the just successfully concluded presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The National Leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged the candidate of the party with 1,271 votes, defeating the closest opponents, Rotimi Amaechi who polled 316, and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo with 235 votes.

While the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan scored 152 votes, Governor Bello came fifth with 47 votes.

Bello scored less than the 63 accredited delegates from Kogi State, hence the reactions that he may have been betrayed by his people.

More so, there are doubts if the 47 votes were entirely from the Kogi State delegates.

Recall that the Governor had few days ago, boasted in a Channels TV interview that he has 50% of the delegates from across Nigeria in his possession.

Reactions:

Reno Omokri: “The APC should put Yahaya Bello on suicide watch. This may sound like a joke, but I’m deathly serious. The man is experiencing severe depression right now. All the cash he spent down the drain. Meanwhile, Kogi workers and pensioners are waiting for him!”

Abu Abdullah: “Them say the delegates do per percentage voting”

Momoh Buhari: “Those remaining delegates are the literates among others
7yrs of his administration he couldn’t provide ordinary water for his local government.”

Mathieu Samuel: “You can’t support the illiterate delegates in Kogi last concluded primaries and be against the national illiterate delegates na.”

Abdulmumin Salihu: “They must provide the 17 disloyal delegate and their leaders.”
