Kogi Commissioner Who Escaped Kidnap with Gunshot Wound Breaks Silence 

 

The Kogi State Commissioner of Environment, Victor Adewale Omofaiye on Saturday broke silence on the kidnap attempt which left him with gunshot wounds. 

Omofaiye escaped abduction about a month ago when gunmen opened fire on his vehicle. 

The incident happened along Ikoyi-Iyara road at about 5:00 pm while the commissioner was on his way to Lokoja, the state capital. 

Speaking, the Commissioner described the incident as a terrible experience, thanking God for preserving his life. 

While appreciating Governor Yahaya Bello and other people who stood by him in his trying times, Omofaiye said he has forgiven the kidnappers. 

He urged them to repent from their evil ways. 

In the spirit of Christmas, Omofaiye urged the people to embrace peace, love and tolerance.
