The founder and Pastor of New Jerusalem Deliverance Ministry Ageva in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, Peter Adeiza Onsachi (Michonza) has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Recall Onsachi who is popularly known as “bulletproof water Pastor,” was arrested September 2022 by the state government for carrying out series of unwholesome activities, including unlawful child deliveries in his New Jerusalem church.
He was subsequently arraigned alongside his wife and elder sister by the government for offences of culpable homicide, causing miscarriages and unlawful use of premises.
Hon. Justice Salisu Umar held that all the ingredients required to prove the death of one Mrs. Hawau Musa of Ageva layout were not proved beyond reasonable doubt & accordingly discharged the pastor of the offence of Culpable Homicide.
However, Justice Umar found the pastor guilty of causing miscarriages of pregnant women and unlawful use of premises.
Meanwhile, the pastor’s wife, elder sister and two other members of the Church fingered in these offences had been at large since the arrest of the Pastor.
