Both Side are familiar foes having met last month at the Confluence Stadium Lokoja in the Nigeria National League Match day 4 Of Group A1.

The Nigeria National League Newcomers held their host to a 1-1 draw in Lokoja and both side will strive hard to show superiority this time around in the oldest competition in Nigeria.

Technical Adviser of Kogi United FC Coach Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi who was unhappy with the draw earlier in Lokoja said he has put behind him the disappointing draw against the Mailantarki Care FC and is aiming to subdue them on a neutral ground to proceed to the next round when confronted by Kogi United Media after the team’s final training at the Confluence Stadium Lokoja on Monday.

“They ran away with a point here in Lokoja last month and another opportunity has presented itself for us to meet again and this time around on a neutral ground. ”

“The boys are in good shape and raring to go especially now that the Holy Month of Ramadan is over. They all know the importance of this competition and won’t allow anything to deter them from giving their best in Jos on Wednesday. ”

Kogi United FC has been pitched against fellow Nigeria National League Group A1 team Mailantarki Care FC of Abuja in the National Federation Cup round of 64 and both teams will battle themselves for a place in the round of 32 on Wednesday at the New Jos Stadium.
