Prince Matthew Kolawole, the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly has declared his intention to represent Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency under the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The Speaker who declared his intention on Sunday at a ceremony in Kabba, said the massive show of love and prayers from within and outside the state when his wife passed on, inspired his zeal to serve the people in a higher position.
He said he was also motivated by the need to provide quality representation, assuring that his experience in the state assembly would help him make a difference.
While noting that he was not desperate, he urged the people to consider his aspiration based on his achievements as a state lawmaker in the last seven years.
The Speaker at the event, distributed food items and cash to widows and party stakeholders, promising more dividends to his people.
He noted that the provision of succour to the widows was a way to appreciate God and also a way to remember his mother and wife whom he said died serving humanity.
