The Kogi State House of Assembly has passed the state’s N258.2 billion 2024 Appropriation Bill into law.
The passage of the bill followed the adoption of the report of the House Standing Committee on Appropriation, Budget Monitoring and Economic Planning.
During the clause by clause consideration by the House, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, said the bill provided authorized recurrent expenditure of N145.7 billion while the authorized capital expenditure stood at N112.5billion.
He said the bill, which outlined allocation of funds to the Ministries, Departments and Agencies, would take effect from January 2024, to December 2024.
