Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign kick-off in Kogi Central, the Director of Media, Dino/Deen Women Campaign Council, Ms Precious Oyiza Aliyu, has said that women across Kogi state will vote en-masse for Senator Dino Melaye in the November 11 election.
In a statement made available to the press, Ms. Aliyu stated that Senator Melaye has demonstrated and shown capacity both in his private and public life.
“It is only deliberate mischief that will make anyone think otherwise about the capacity of Sen. Dino Melaye.
“As a former parliamentarian, Dino has demonstrated extraordinary leadership capacity with his important contributions to the 8th Assembly, where he moved many motions and sponsored important bills.”
The former House of Assembly aspirant noted that only Sen. Dino has been speaking to issues bedevilling Kogi state and at the same time proffering solutions to the issues.
“It is pertinent to note that only the candidate of the PDP, Sen. Dino Melaye has given women critical and pivotal roles to play in his campaign set-up,” Ms Aliyu said.
The spokesperson for the Dino/Deen Women Campaign council also noted with concern that the good women of Kogi state who account for the highest voting demography in the state have not forgotten so soon how the GYB/APC administration in the state deliberately plunged them into years of untold hardship as a result of their retrogressive policy of percentage salary payments.
She urged the women of Kogi state to stand up to the APC and reject them at the polls by voting en-masse for senator Dino Melaye and Hajiya Habiba Mohammed Deen in the upcoming election in the state.
