Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the appointment of the immediate past State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Bello as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Bello replaces Salami Ozigi Deedat whom the Governor has redeployed to the Ministry of Works to fill the vacuum created by the resignation of Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf from the cabinet.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, the new appointee is expected to be screened and confirmed by the State House of Assembly.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the outgone Commissioner for his meritorious service to the State and wished him well in his future endeavours.
The appointment according to the statement, takes immediate effect.
