Engineer Aliyu Ezzu-Momoh has been elected as the new Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Kogi state chapter.
He, alongside other officials emerged through a consensus arrangement at the state congress of the party held in Lokoja on Tuesday.
Other elected officials are; Aliyu Salifu Suleiman, Deputy Chairman; Odiniya Matthew, Secretary; Dele Solomon, Assistant Secretary; Akaaba Abubakar, Alhassan Oguch and Emmanuel Ayo are Zonal Vice chairmen one, two and three respectively among others.
The New Chairman promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by ensuring unity and avoid factions.
He affirmed that the journey of the next general election has begun, as plans are on to expand the party’s database through the resumed e-registration.
The new Chairman cautioned against indiscipline and expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and party stakeholders.
The Chairman of the State APC Congress Committee, Lawal Samaila Abdullahi expressed satisfaction with the unity of purpose as well as maturity demonstrated by supporters and elders of the party.
He expressed appreciation to the delegates and stakeholders for making the exercise seamless, urging the new executive to justify the trust reposed in them.
The outgone State Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello said Kogi remains the home of APC, saying the good governance provided by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has made the party to grow stronger.
According to him, all the aspirants were duly screened and expressed confidence that the new executive who are men of integrity will justify the confidence reposted in them.
