Former Kogi Speaker, Imam Decamps to PDP 

…hosts clergymen ahead of official ceremony

All is set for the official decamping ceremony of the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Umar Ahmed Imam into the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday January 4th, 2022.

The event, ebirareporters.com learnt, has been scheduled to hold at the Up Garage in Lokoja, the state capital.

Imam would be received officially by the leader of the party in Lokoja, Senator Tunde Ogbeha by 10am, the Lokoja Chairman of the PDP, Hon Danladi Saba disclosed in a statement.

Earlier, the former Speaker played host to some clergymen from Lokoja who paid him a solidarity visit to assure him of their unflinching support in his political journey.

They further assured him that they will always identify with him because of what he stood for and still stand for, which is the welfare and well being of the commoners.

They prayed for him and the success of his new Party, the PDP.

Imam, while thanking them for thinking him worthy of visiting at a time like this, assured them that he will remain consistent on what he believes in, which is speaking for the generality of the people whose voices are oppressed.

He also assured them that the People’s Democratic Party provides a better alternative to the current unfortunate situation where the welfare of the people has been pushed to the background.
