The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has decried the abduction of some civil servants around Kabba, Kogi.
The affected officers were reportedly traveling to Abuja to participate in the ongoing computer-based test promotion examinations conducted by the Federal Civil Service Commission.
The head of the civil service of the federation, Didi Walson-Jack, in a statement, described the incident as distressing and unfortunate.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. We join all well-meaning Nigerians in praying for their safe and speedy release,” she said.
Ms Walson-Jack expressed confidence in the ability of security agencies to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted officers.
She also urged the civil servants and the general public to remain calm and vigilant, reaffirming the Federal Civil Service’s commitment to the welfare and safety of its workforce.
“We stand together as one civil service family, united in faith, hope, and solidarity, praying earnestly for the safe return of our colleagues. Their safety and well-being remain our utmost priority,” she added.
