Eid-El-Kabir: Pray, Work for Peace in Nigeria, Khalifa Okene Urges Muslim Faithfuls

The President of Khalif Cares Foundation and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Alhaji Khalifa Abdulrahaman Okene has told Muslims to pray and work toward achieving a sustainable peace in Nigeria.

Okene said this in a felicitation message to Muslim Faithfuls, on the occasion of the year 2022 celebration of Eid-El-Kabir.

He stated that Nigeria is on a brink of threatening situations that call for all hands on deck to nip the problems in the bud.

According to him, believers should not only pray, but also work together in processes that will bring about peace and progress in the land.

“These are challenging times, and everyone can see what is going on across the world. With our peculiarities, Nigeria as a country is faced with problems that could deter our progress if we don’t all come together in oneness to decide our fate.

“We have to pray for peace, and more importantly, work towards achieving the peace that we pray and preach for. If we can achieve peace in our Nation, then progress can be assured.

“I urge you all to be law abiding as you celebrate Sallah. Wishing you and your family a wonderful celebration,” he said.
