Popular Kogi music artiste and entertainer, King Dreez has shared the story behind his now viral picture with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, noting that it was not a planned encounter.
Dreez, the “I Must Shine” crooner had earlier in the week, shared the picture with Governor Bello, captioned “executive handshake.”
Two days after, the music star took to his Facebook page to debunk reports that he his visit was for money and car gifts.
According to him, the Governor’s doors were opened during Ramadan period, and he decided to go break his fast there.

Now to set the record straight… my meeting with his excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello wasn’t planned for, though it has always been my dream to meet and have a hand shake with the White Lion, to appreciate him for all the good work he has been doing in Kogi state.
From road infrastructure, health care, good education, good security, youth and women empowerment and of course, for providing us the best Senatorial candidate in person of Senator Eng. Abubakar Ohere FNSE.
So on that faithful evening, I was at the governor’s residence mainly to brake my fast! as many of u knows…. In every Ramadan, his doors are always open to anyone who wish to come in and dine with his excellency, he doesn’t care about ur tribe or religion, he loves everyone, encourages all to work hard and always dream big, he’s an inspiration to many.
After we had our Magrib prayer together, food was served and after eating, I walked straight to where his excellency was seating, though his ADC tried to stop me but he ordered her to allow me😊 I greeted him and demanded for a picture, he smiled and said let me finish my water melon first 😁
it was my most happiest moment and I’m sure u understand how it feels.
I never went there to collect money or car keys like so many of u believes, it was a rare privilege braking all protocols and standing with the 001 of Kogi state, with that alone….
I’m fulfilled cause money is not everything.
