Former U.S. President Barack Obama has named Nigerian superstar artiste Burna Boy and international Sabi girl Ayra Starr in his 2023 summer playlist.
Sharing his annual summer playlist via Twitter on Thursday, Obama included Burna Boy’s ‘Sitting on top of the world’ featuring 21 Savage and Ayra Starr’s ‘Sability’.
“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer, a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed,” said Obama.
The Nigerian music stars joined other superstars like Jorja Smith, SZA, J Hus, Drake, Nas, and Rosalia on the playlist that comprises both classic and new records.
The likes of Wizkid, Tems and Rema made the former U.S. president’s playlists in the past.
