It is an incontrovertible fact that the man Dr Phillips Omeiza Ozovehe Salawu PhD, is a man of many parts. He is a phenomenal and quintessential personality, with a larger than life towering achievements in both his public and private endeavours.
This highly influential and industrious son of Ebiraland is a man with unquenchable hunger for iconic and distinguished accomplishments in life.
His growing resume speaks volumes of an individual constantly propelled to break new grounds in his dogged pursuit of excellence in academic fields and his engagement as an astute politician.
The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has literally conquered the academic world and professional bodies and affiliations, even to the point that, auguably, it is safe to say that there is no mountain left for him to climb again in the ladder of success.
His modest achievements in life, against all odds,portray him as a pencil in the hands of God.
His litany of academic titles is very astonishing and eyes popping.
Dr Phillips has been decorated with BSc, Msc, PhD, D.sc, FCA, FCS, FFIA, CPFA, ACIB, LLB, just to mention but a few.
In a nutshell, what all these laurels translate to is that he is a financial technocrat, a Chartered Corporate Accountant, a Chartered Public Finance Accountant, a Chartered Banker,a Chartered Broker, a certified tax consultant, a certified forensic Auditor and now a lawyer.
The political icon and beacon of hope, who is the longest serving former Deputy Governor of Kogi State is constantly in a hurry to make a mark in all his engagements in life.
As a former Deputy Governor, his positive contributions to humanity and nation building can not be forgotten.
Recall that he was one of the founding fathers of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
He was also a member of the Constitution Review national conference, midwifed by former President Goodluck Jonathan, where he made sterling performance at the confab.
Dr Phillips is credited to be the brain child behind the creation of the Ohi stool in Ebiraland, as his love and respect for Ebira tradion, cultural heritage and ethos, is legendary.
On infrastructural development in Ebiraland, Dr Phillips Omeiza Ozovehe Salawu was able to attract a number of constituency projects, like the construction of Egge/ Ihima road, the construction of Obehira junction -Ihima -Ayere federal roads.
The peace -loving political leader is wildly respected for being a man of honour and integrity, who practices what he preach, throughout his tenure in office.
He is a committed christain and a good family man, who is a lover of his people.
He has impacted many lives in Ebiraland, including my humble self,who was a Media Aide to his beautiful wife, Mrs Grace Salawu, for 6 years.
