Court Remands Kogi Varsity Staff over Alleged N4m Fraud

The 46 year-old staff of the Federal University Lokoja was remanded by Justice Mohammed Yakubu till February 6th, 2023. 

 

 

A Chief Magistrate Court  sitting in Lokoja, on Thursday remanded Kennedy Wilfred in Kabba Custodian Centre over allegations of fraud.

The 46 year-old staff of the Federal University Lokoja was remanded by Justice Mohammed Yakubu till February 6th, 2023.

Wilfred was arraigned by the Department of State Security Service.

The accused allegedly scammed students of money amounting to the sum of N4m as school fees.

He was alleged to have issued fake receipt to the students.

It was however discovered during examination that the students did not pay their school fees.

The money belonging to 34 students was obtained from them by the accused person on the pretext of helping them to generate Remita.

Wilfred was charged on four count charge of criminal breach of trust, cheating, forgery, forging documents.
