APC Member Distances Self from Suit against Ajaka, Tells Court He Didn’t Give Consent

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State, Imaji Danladi has issued an affidavit of disclaimer notifying the Kogi State High Court that he was not consulted before a suit was filed in his name against one of the governorship aspirants, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka.

ebirareporters.com reports that Danladi whose name appeared alongside one Amoka Suberu, had been identified as the applicants who sought the interim injunction granted by the Kogi State High Court, restraining Ajaka from participating in the April 14th primary election in the state.

 

However, in the affidavit of disclaimer, Danladi noted that upon enquiry, he discovered that his picture and membership card were used to institute the action, adding that he was not at anytime consulted by the counsel.

 

He said that he never signed any document to that effect.

 

However, the politician in a separate affidavit, has asked the court to discontinue the case on the grounds that he was never informed.

“I, IMAJI DANLADI, the purported 1″ claimant in this case do hereby give notice of Discontinuance of this case on grounds that the suit was surreptitiously and Clandestinely filed without my brief consent and knowledge.

 

“And pursuant to this, I have deposed to an affidavit of disclaimer before this Hon. Court.”
