The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has approved the second-semester results for the 2025/2026 academic session, awarding First-Class Honours degrees to 44 graduating students.
The university governing body also approved the withdrawal of 56 students for academic deficiencies and the expulsion of one student for examination malpractice.
The decisions were ratified during the Senate’s 168th Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, September 30.
Details from the university indicate that 11 students were withdrawn due to poor academic standing, while 38 were deregistered for failing to register for two consecutive academic semesters. Additionally, seven students in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science were withdrawn over failed course modules.
The Senate approved the expulsion of a student in the Department of Plant Sciences and Biotechnology following the adoption of a report by the university’s Examination Misconduct Committee.
Commending the university committees during the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, tasked graduands to remain good ambassadors of the institution.
“I congratulate our first-class graduands and urge you to uphold the values of integrity, hard work, and excellence,” Usman said, while advising remaining students to adhere strictly to academic regulations.
The university management instructed all affected students facing withdrawal or expulsion to surrender institutional property, including student identity cards, to the Security Unit before exiting the campus.
