The Chairman of Okene local government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad on Sunday received award of excellent from Okene Traders Association for his understanding leadership qualities, innovative ideas and his exclusive records on security.
At an elaborate occasion organised by the traders union in Okene to honour some eminent personalities in Ebiraland, renown business woman and an accomplished entrepreneur, Hajia Okende presented the award to council chairman on behalf of traders in Okene central market.
Hajia Okende in a remark described the gesture as the traders show of appreciation to the chairman for his untiring effort towards the security and welfare of traders in particular and the local government in general.
The traders had in a congratulatory message to the council chairman acknowledged his many developmental initiatives and by extension the All Progressive Congress led administration in the State.
They reeled out some of the land mark achievements of Hon. Abdulrazaq led administration in Okene local government to include the return of Bank of Agriculture (BOA) located inside Okene central market to assist traders save fund and empower them with soft loans, provision of borehole, evacuation of the age long refuse site, 24hours market security, elimination of double taxation and the introduction of friendly tax collection process by the local government authority. They applauded his achievements and wished him more success in his future endeavours.
Responding, Okene local government chairman, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad thanked the market men and women for the honour bestowed on him and dedicated the award to him boss and benefactor, His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello whom he said provided the enabling environment for socio-political and economic development of the state.
Engr. Abdulrazaq consequently commissioned a new office complex for the traders union build by the immediate past federal lawmaker, Senator Yakubu Oseni.
