The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka has suspended his visit to Okene and Kabba parts of the state.
Ajaka and his Deputy, Sam Abenemi resumed visitation to traditional headquarters after the last incident that involved a clash between his convoy and that of Governor Yahaya Bello along Lokoja road.
He was received on Thursday at the palace of the Attah Igala, HRM Matthew Opaluwa Oguche, and scheduled to continue to Okene on Friday.
However, ebirareporters.com learnt that the visit to the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Okene, has been short-lived by a postponement notice.
Okene is the local government area of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The postponement, according to our source, was indefinite.
Meanwhile, one of the media sides of the guber candidate, Opaluwa Ugbede Omera stated that the postponement was to allow for proper preparations.
“Okene/Kabba visit of Hon. Murtala Ajaka/Sam Abenemi postponed till further notice for proper preparations and awareness. A new date will be communicated. We appreciate our supporters,” Omera posted on Facebook.
