Kogi NSCDC Whisks Software Designer to Asaba after Allegedly Extorting N330,000 from Him

A Kogi-born software designer, AbdulRazak Adeniyi Aliyu has taken to social media to narrate his current ordeal in the hands of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Lokoja, Kogi State and Asaba, Delta State.

Aliyu who shared his ordeal via a thread on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, claimed that he was arrested by men of the NSCDC in Lokoja over a crime he did not commit, and was whisked away to Asaba when his lawyer was at the of perfecting his bail conditions.

He posted:

“This user (AbdulRazak Adeniyi Aliyu) was arrested on Monday 1st of July, 2024 by men of the @official_NSCDC in Lokoja, Kogi State for a crime he clearly didn’t commit.

“After extorting 330k from him, they quickly whisked him away in a bus in the presence of his mother and sis without telling them where they were taking him to. His lawyer was at the verge of perfecting his bail conditions when they hurriedly whisked him away from Lokoja.

“It was later at night that the family members got to know he was taken to @official_NSCDC in Asaba, Delta State.

“He has been with the @official_NSCDC in Asaba since Monday without trial, fair hearing or any hope of getting justice in sight.

He also accused two officers of the NSCDC simply identified as Susan and Major who allegedly extorted N330,000 from him to track the culprits that would exonerate him.
