Bants: I’m Not Like Kogi Gov, Yahaya Bello – Wike

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has thrown bants on Friday when he said he was not like the Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello.

He made this utterance at the launch of a book, “Selected Leading Judgments of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court,” which was authored by retired Justice Abdu Aboki.

The Rivers Governor said his visit to Abuja, the country’s capital was a reminder of his defeat during the presidential primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in May.

The governor revealed that it was the first time in Abuja after he lost the PDP ticket to the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar.

“When I landed and passed through the venue. I said I think My Lord intentionally wanted me to remember 28 and 29 of May of what happened.”

Governor Wike revealed that unlike Governor Bello who had visited Abuja several moments since he lost the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he remained in his state (Rivers State).

“I am not like Yahaya Bello who since he lost he comes to Abuja everyday”, he joked.

The Rivers politcal actor hailed the commitment of Justice Aboki to the protection of justice and rule of law.

The Governor of Rivers state referred to Aboki as a consummate jurist who has left his name “indelibly in the sands of time and judicial history”.
