Men of the Kogi State Vigilante Group in Adavi Local Government Area on Wednesday morning apprehended a man who dressed pretending to be a woman in the Zariagi axis of the local government.
The suspect who identified himself as Musa, an Indigene of Ofu Local Government Area of the state, was arrested when the vigilante men suspected him of making suspicious moves.
Mr. Jamiu Habeeb who is the Media Aide to the Chairman of Adavi Local Government, reported that his boss, Hon Joseph Omuya Salami swiftly moved to the location to confirm the incident.
Habeeb said the Chairman “further instructed the Kogi State Vigilante Group to hand over the man to Nigeria Army who was also at the scene for further questioning and find out the motive behind his moves.
“The suspect confirmed his name to be Musa by name, an indigene of Kogi State from Ofu local government claimed to be a dancer but he’s yet to disclose his motive in that area because nobody can identify him as part of the community or have met him before.
“Recall that Zariagi community has been a point of reference where kidnappers do terrorize travelers before the government decided to deployed more security agencies and surveillance to the location to prevent such incidents, and protect lives & property, and also keep the environment safe for the dwellers, investors, and sojourners.
“The Nigerian Army has taken charge of the situation, and the issue will be investigated and Musa will be tried if found guilty of any criminal act.”
