A Non-Governmental Organization tracking the implementation of government projects in communities to ensure service delivery, TrackaNG has reported there has not been any implementation of a transformer installation project in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The NGO in a tweet disclosed this following a town hall meeting with the residents of Idoji-Eba community in Okene, being one of the nominated locations for the installation.
The project according to the report was budgeted in the 2021 Federal Government Zonal Intervention Projects to the tune of 20 million Naira.
TrackaNG also disclosed that 30% of the budgeted funds had been released to MDAs
“We tracked and report that the project is yet to be implemented despite the 30% funds released to MDAs
“We encouraged members of the community to engage their elected representative to demand the implementation of the project.”
