Kogi State has won five bronze medals at the ongoing seventh edition of National Youth Games (NYG) taking place in Asaba, Delta State.
The five bronze medals were won in Judo and tennis events.
Eleven years old Marvelous Duru won bronze medal for Kogi in the 32kg girls category of the Judo event while Ize Sezuo also won bronze medal in the tennis singles event
Marvelous Duru defeated Judokas from Bauchi, Plateau and Ogun states, after losing to the representative of Bayelsa State in the 2nd round.
Ize Sezuo won the bronze medal in the girls singles category after losing her semifinals match against Aishat of Lagos State by 3-0.
