The Formal Director of Rural Electrification Agency Fund, Dr. Sanusi Ohiare has distanced himself from one Obeito Abdulganiyu whose video has gone viral for threatening electorates in Kogi State.
Abdulganiyu in the video, hailed Governor Yahaya Bello and called Dr. Ohiare his mentor.
In a statement seen by ebirareporters.com, Ohiare stated that Abdulganiyu acted on his own, distancing himself from his actions.

My attention has been drawn to a video being shared on social media and made by one “Obeito Abdulganiyu” wherein he made verbal threats against those not aligned with his political choice.
I want to state categorically that Obeito Abdulganiyu acted on his own neither and therefore urge the general public to disregard his claim in the obnoxious video that I’m his “Mentor”.
People who know me privately and in the public sphere as a Technocrat turned politician would easily attest to my aversion for political violence, thuggery and intimidation. This is why the claim by this persona that I’m his “mentor” is highly uncharacteristic and deeply concerning.
As an Aspirant in the April 14, 2023 Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial Primaries, I exemplified this by running an issues-based campaign focused solely on how my candidacy would improve upon the tremendous economic and social development strides of the incumbent Governor, my Leader His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello CON. I did not at any point during my consultative tours of the 3 senatorial zones in the state have any dealings or needed the services of political thugs.
My political ideology is anchored on responsible politicking, where politics is not the end itself but a means of rendering selfless political services and stewardship for the benefit of the majority of the people. This is what makes it deeply harrowing the innuendo of Obeito Abdulganiyu in that video.
While I use this medium to sue for peace and urge Kogites to go about the campaigns in a civilized manner, I will be forwarding the video to the relevant security agencies for proper investigation. This is to clear my name and person from any insinuation of support for political thuggery and intimidation.
