Few hours later, Thursday morning, a popular politician and Ohi Otenyiete of Ebiraland, Alh. Isa Ozi Salami was kidnapped on his way to the mosque in Ogaminana.
Gunmen went on rampage in Kogi Central Senatorial District from Wednesday through to Thursday in series of attacks in Adavi Local Government Area and the Otite community of Okehi Local Government Area of the state.
Netizens had reported last night, an attack on three occupants of a car along the Federal College of Education road in Otite.
One of the occupants reportedly escaped by the whiskers, while two others were not lucky and got shot by the gunmen.
Few hours later, Thursday morning, a popular politician and Ohi Otenyiete of Ebiraland, Alh. Isa Ozi Salami was kidnapped on his way to the mosque in Ogaminana.
An eyewitness named Ilyas Okaraga who reportedly witnessed the abduction was also shot by the gunmen.
Alh. Salami who is also a Board member of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, HYPPADEC, had yesterday commissioned a water project in the local government.
