Five companies have successfully participated in a bid opening for the proposed construction of major access roads to Kogi International Airport, Zariagi.
The bidding exercise which was conducted by the State Ministry of Works, was held on Thursday, towards getting the right contractors for the road projects for the airport.
The companies that bidded were Dantata & sawoe, Arab Contractors, Mothercat Nig. LTD, CCECC, and RCSY Contractors Nig Ltd.
Speaking at the Ceremony, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of works Engr. Abdulsalam Muhammad Sayir, who represented the Commissioner for works, Engr. Hon. Muhammad Ahovi Yusuf pointed out the importance of the exercise, saying it would lead to the selection of capable and better Contractors for the proposed projects
He stated that Kogi State International Airport, would not only bring development to the State, but also launch the State into the Global world and boost the State Economy.
The Head of Procurement Unit in the Ministry Mr. Idris Ibrahim, commended the Bidders for following due process in applying for the Job noting that the Ministry of would always deliver on its Mandate.
He encouraged those that would win to do a thorough job in accordance with the projects specifications so that the Kogi State International Airport would become a reality.
Responding, the Bidders observed that the exercise was transparent and Promised to put in their best for the job.
