A final year student of the Kogi State Polytechnic, identified as Omotosho Dorcas has dled during an abortion procedure in a private clinic in Lokoja.
Security analyst and crime reporter, Zagazola Makama disclosed the development occurred on Tuesday at Al-Hassan Clinic and Maternity in the Sarkin Noma area of the state capital.
The 26 year-old Dorcas was six months pregnant and had gone to the clinic for termination of the pregnancy.
“In the process of the abortion, she bled to dath,” said sources.
The sources said police detectives visited the scene, took photographs, and evacuated the corpse to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, for preservation.
The suspect behind the procedure has been arrested, while the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
