Six people were reportedly killed while four sustained injuries in separate accidents that occurred along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
A witness said the first accident involved four people who were burnt to death after trailers crashed near Nestle water company at Manderegi village in Abaji along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
He said the accident happened around 6:30am on Thursday and it involved an unmarked tanker and a trailer loaded with cement.
He said the trailer was coming from the Lokoja axis when the driver lost control after a brake failure and rammed into the tanker from behind and the tanker went up in flames.
He said four people from the tanker were burnt beyond recognition and their bodies were evacuated to Abaji General Hospital morgue by the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
