Ebira Doctors Hail Appointment of Dr. Shehu Ozovehe as CMD, FTH Lokoja

The Ebira Doctors’ Forum (EDF) has extended its warmest congratulations to Dr. Shehu Abdulrahman Ozovehe on his appointment as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja (FTHL).

FTHL is the only federal tertiary health institution in Kogi State.

In a statement signed by Dr. Moses Shaibu, Secretary, EDF on Sunday in Lokoja, the EDF praised the appointment and expressed confidence in Dr. Shehu’s ability to transform the health institution.

According to EDF, Dr. Shehu’s achievements reflect his dedication to service, advocacy, and colleague welfare.

“The Ebira medical family is proud of your perseverance, resilience, and your triumphant emergence.

Your appointment as CMD, FTHL – a source of pride for Ebira doctors and the entire Ebira nation.

“We believe you have the vision, experience, and determination to transform FTHL into a world-class institution, achieving clinical excellence, research output, and institutional integrity,” the EDF said.

The Association pledged its full support and readiness to collaborate and contribute to a lasting legacy under his leadership at the tertiary health institution.

“May Allah grant you wisdom, health, and guidance.

“May He protect and strengthen you, crowning your efforts with success. Congratulations, Dr. Shehu Abdulrahman Ozovehe – you’ve made us proud!,’ EDF stated.

Dr. Shehu Abdulrahman Ozovehe, a distinguished Chemical Pathologist, will bring his wealth of experience and leadership to his new role.

His impressive career includes past positions as President of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria, and Secretary and Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Kaduna State. Chairman NMA Committee on Remuneration and Welfare as well as one time board member.
