{"id":944,"date":"2021-08-10T18:53:22","date_gmt":"2021-08-10T18:53:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=944"},"modified":"2021-08-10T18:53:22","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T18:53:22","slug":"kogi-poly-withdraws-218-students-over-poor-academic-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/kogi-poly-withdraws-218-students-over-poor-academic-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi Poly Withdraws 218 Students over Poor Academic Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The management of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja on Monday withdrew no fewer than 218 students from the institution for over poor academic performance and forgery-related offences.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the institution, Mrs. Uredo Omale in a statement said the expulsion was part of decisions reached at a meeting chaired by the Rector, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman.<\/p>\n<p>While 217 students were withdrawn for poor performance, 1 other student, Mr. Tope Atolagbe, HND II student of the Department of Library Science (2017\/HND\/LIS\/134), was expelled for tendering forged documents.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Board, after due consideration of the recommendations of Student Disciplinary Committee, found Mr. Atolagbe guilty of conniving with one Mr. Gbenga Ayeni Michael (2017\/ND\/BUS\/1032) who illegally tendered forged documents to obtain statement of results which they also used to dupe other students.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Consequently, the Board approved that the result of Mr. Gbenga Ayeni Micheal who is at large be withheld until he appears before the Disciplinary Committee for interrogation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Rector used the occasion to disclose that the Dean, Students Services, Engineer Salawu Salihu Ijiji has been redeployed as Director, Kogi Poly Consults while Mr John Friday Otaru who was the Director of the Poly Consults would now be the Dean, Students Services.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; &nbsp; The management of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja on Monday withdrew no fewer than 218 students from&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[136,2],"tags":[34,138],"class_list":{"0":"post-944","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-education","7":"category-news","8":"tag-kogi","9":"tag-kogi-poly"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.9 -
