Gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Murtala Ajaka, has disclosed that he has absolute confidence in the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a free and fair election in Kogi State.<\/p>\n

According to Ajaka, the people have resolved to remove the All Progressives Congress (APC) from governance of the state, and he would win the election.
\nAjaka stated this during the unveiling of a website and donation of a portal designed by his supporters.<\/p>\n
He said it was a great day for him because the people had taken over the project where contributions are now being made through the portal and USSD code that would help them in the campaign.<\/p>\n
He said he never knew people were so interested in his movement until they teamed up to fund the project.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very happy with the people of Kogi State. From the people contributing, it\u2019s not one section of Kogi State but the contributions cut across the three senatorial districts of the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should be conscious of our contributions because these guys can just use another person and send huge amounts of money for EFCC to start investigating.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour resolution is to take these guys out and take us in. That\u2019s your resolution. I want to thank you for bringing this idea, because I was thinking this is not America. But we thank God that the response of the people is positive,\u201d Ajaka said, adding that the people of Kogi East had taken a decision to vote for Alhaji Murtala Ajaka.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is nothing like the Igala agenda. We have confidence in INEC. I don\u2019t know how to describe the present government in the last eight years but November 11,2023 will give the answer,\u201d Ajaka said, adding that INEC has a guideline and had always followed it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have full confidence in INEC. I repeat, I have full confidence in INEC and by the grace of God, we are going to win,\u201d Ajaka said.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of the support groups, Barr Rilwan Okpanachi said the portal is a citizens interactive website where they would be raising funds for the campaign of Ajaka.<\/p>\n
