href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2023\/07\/07\/nscdc-arrests-12-petrol-marketers-in-kogi-for-removing-nmdpra-seals-harassing-officials\/\">Civil Defence Corps<\/a> (NSCDC), has paraded four suspects for alleged involvement in cy\u00adber-crime activities in the state.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Parading the suspect at the Command headquarters in Lokoja, the State Com\u00admandant of the Corps, Ah\u00admad Ghandi Ahmad, stated that suspects were arrested through forensic investiga\u00adtion by a combined team of the Command\u2019s intelligence personnel and other units at their various hideouts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Commandant Ahmad Ghandi Ahmad said the sus\u00adpect; Nelly Lamidi, a female, stole a phone and sold it to Isaiah David who with his brother Isaiah Sunday used the same for cybercrime ac\u00adtivities thereby defrauding unsuspected members of the public, especially foreigners.<\/p>\n<p>Also paraded is one Ahmed Dantata, 26, also arrested for theft, criminal trespass and cyber-crime-related offences.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The commandant urged parents and guardians to be more involved in the activi\u00adties of their children to guide them against getting involved in criminal activities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He reassured the public of the command\u2019s readiness to continue to tackle all forms of crimes and criminality across the State in its bid to sustain relative peace in Kogi State.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Commandant said that all the suspects would be charged to Court under the Cybercrime Act at the Federal High Court, Lokoja upon completion of the inves\u00adtigation.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an interview, the Suspects all confessed to being involved in cybercrime
