Solomon Avidime<\/a> of Reference Hospital Okene hosted the management team of the college on a courtesy visit to the hospital.<\/p>\nThe team led by the Provost of the School, Mrs. Abraham O. Hannah, expressed appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello for bringing such a world class Hospital to Kogi State and also thanked Prof. Avidime and his team for the work done so far in the hospital.<\/p>\n
She sought the recommencement of the age long partnership between the old general hospital and the nursing college in the area of nursing training and hospital experience.<\/p>\n
In his response, the CMD Prof Avidime appreciated the management team of the college of nursing for coming.<\/p>\n
He intimated them that medical and nursing education\/training are part of the mandate of the Reference Hospital Okene and the hospital is fully equipped for these purposes.<\/p>\n
He further told them that the hospital is structured with the major clinical departments, laboratory and radio diagnostic units well established.<\/p>\n
As the services continue, soon there will be patients especially in-patients and the hospital will be glad to receive nursing students on posting.<\/p>\n
Prof Avidime said the commitment of the Governor to healthcare in the state is second to none and commended the upgrade of the institution to college of nursing and other amenities that have been provided.<\/p>\n
Members of the management team who came with the Provost are Mrs. Momoh A. Barikisu (Deputy Provost), Mr. Usman Audu Reuben (Registrar), Mr. John M. Adeniyi (College Librarian), Mr. Yusuf Awwal (Dir. Works), and Mrs. Sadiq Binta O. (College P.R.O.).<\/p>\n
The CMD conducted the team round the hospital to see the 21st century medical equipments that have been installed in the hospital.<\/p>\n
