The newly recruited teachers in Kogi State have been urged to be patient as their salaries will be paid soon.<\/p>\n

The Kogi State Chairman, Academic Staff Union Of Secondary School (ASUSS) Comrade Matthew Ranti Ojo made the appeal in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n

Ojo, while noting that the union is aware of the current economic hardship Nigerians are facing said the delay in salary payment was due to some hitches.<\/p>\n
According to him, the hitches have been solved and that payment will be made to each secondary teacher account any moment from now.<\/p>\n
Ojo acknowledged the discomfort this development must have caused the teachers, just as he appealed to them to remain focused and committed to the discharge of their duties.<\/p>\n
The statement reads\u201d We sincerely apologise and empathize with the newly recruited secondary teachers whose salary is being delayed due to some challenges. The union is aware of the harsh economic atmosphere workers are facing in present-day Nigeria.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is why, the union is not resting towards ensuring that, their salaries are received within the shortest possible time. We are in consultation with the government in ensuring that, payment is made immediately. All the documentation has been done, and they would soon be receiving alerts from their various bank account\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ojo, however, charged secondary school teachers in the state to see their work as a call from the almighty God, adding that, teachers remain nation builders, who set the pace for development to strive in any country.<\/p>\n
