The Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Engr. Abubakar Ohere has reiterated his assurance of quality representation, promising that no community will be neglected while deploying the usefulness and benefit of his office.<\/p>\n

Senator Ohere gave the assurance on Tuesday when he played host to stakeholders at a dinner organized in honour of his inauguration into the 10th National Assembly.<\/p>\n
He thanked his supporters who were with him through the campaigns up till his emergence, stating that his inauguration was the product of their commitment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe next we are going into is to deploy the usefulness of that office to benefit the people of Ebiraland and Kogi Central in particular. I am very confident of the fact, that having done well by His Excellency, my leader and mentor in terms of health, road connectivity, education sector and other areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut in the provision of water, I want to agree that we still have some gaps to capture, and that will be my focus and immediate attention in terms of legislation. I am also aware, because I am from home and made in Ebira, I am aware of the areas that are in darkness and not enjoying full measure of electricity. I also have the intention to do some level of constituency project that will take electrification to some of these communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said he would go home to address the people on his intentions and how projects would be executed.<\/p>\n
However, he declared immediate employment of no fewer than 60 graduates as legislative aides, promising to work with the traditional rulers and ward heads.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am coming home to come and address everybody on how we intend to carry out our legislative assignment. But to start with, I want to make a very specific announcement, that in the next one month, I am going to roll out employment for about over 60 graduates. These graduates are going to represent me as legislative assistants in the 57 wards of Kogi Central. This employment is coming up immediately<\/p>\n
\u201cThen the traditional rulers, the ward heads, automatically we are going to coopt them as part of the system and we will make provision for their upkeep. So that from ward level to the local government level, we are going to be connected,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
