{"id":7092,"date":"2023-05-21T23:09:52","date_gmt":"2023-05-21T22:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=7092"},"modified":"2023-05-21T23:09:52","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T22:09:52","slug":"kogi-community-in-lagos-assures-ododo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/kogi-community-in-lagos-assures-ododo\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;We&#8217;re Coming Home to Vote for You&#8217; &#8211; Kogi Community in Lagos Assures Ododo\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Indigenes of Kogi residing in Lagos state have declared their support for Ahmed Usman Ododo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebirareporters.com\">the<\/a> forthcoming governorship election in Kogi state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They made the declaration in Lagos where the candidate and his entourage met with the people as part of activities lined up for consultations ahead of the election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mrs Raliat Oyetunde, a former banker, who spoke during the stakeholders\u2019 event, said Kogi was too central to the wellbeing of the country, hence the need to ensure continuity of the laudable achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMany of us here are registered back home and many more will transfer our cards back to Kogi to ensure your victory. Kogi is bordered by 10 other states and it is the gateway to the North and South. We cannot afford to hand the state to someone who doesn\u2019t understand the dynamics of governance. We will support you to win in November,\u201d she assured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The candidate, while responding, urged all Kogites home and abroad to see him as \u201cthe candidate of unity\u201d, assuring the people that he will consolidate on the achievements of Governor Bello.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, Ododo had paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2021\/10\/20\/artist-who-drew-gov-bello-4-wives-aides-in-2018-says-life-no-balance-after-lagos-artist-presented-caricature-to-gov-sanwo-olu\/\">Sanwo-Olu<\/a> held a private meeting with the candidate where their discussions centred around winning the November 11 poll.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7094 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/FB_IMG_1684706782373-300x226.jpg\" alt=\"Ahmed Usman Ododo, Babajide Sanwolu \" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the meeting, the Governor addressed the entourage, assuring them that the entire APC family would ensure victory for the party in Kogi State.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He thanked them for the visit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the entourage of the APC Governorship Candidate were the State Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Bello; leader of the delegation, Deedat Ozigi; Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo; former Accountant-General of the state, Jibrin Momoh; former Commissioner for Finance, Asiru Idris; and an aspirant in the primary election in the state, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Others were the House of Representatives Members-Elect representing Ajaokuta, Lokoja\/Koto and Okene\/Ogori Federal Constituencies;
