Former Governor of Kogi, Captain Idris Wada, on Wednesday welcomed the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) candidate for the 2023 Kogi gubernatorial election, Ahmed Usman Ododo to his residence in Abuja.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Captain Wada, who served as governor from 2011 to 2015, offered prayers for Ododo\u2019s success in the upcoming November polls, noting that his interest was for a peaceful and progressive Kogi State.<\/p>\n

During the prayers, Captain Wada reminded Ododo that it is \u201cultimately God who grants power to whomever He wishes\u201d.<\/p>\n
\n
Captain Wada while congratulating Ododo for winning the primary election to emerge APC flagbearer also stressed the importance of peaceful elections, stating that such an environment is necessary for peace and development.<\/p>\n
\n
He assured the APC candidate of prayers and support ahead of the November polls in the state.<\/p>\n
\n
Earlier, Ododo Ahmed Usman thanked Captain Wada for his warm reception and hospitality.<\/p>\n
