{"id":6024,"date":"2023-03-18T22:52:49","date_gmt":"2023-03-18T21:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=6024"},"modified":"2023-03-18T22:54:37","modified_gmt":"2023-03-18T21:54:37","slug":"suleiman-abdulrazaq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/suleiman-abdulrazaq\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi Assembly: Suleiman Abdulrazaq Sweeps Okene I Constituency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Independent National Electoral Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2023\/03\/18\/polls-bello-lauds-inecs-preparedness-conduct-of-assembly-polls-in-kogi\/\">(INEC)<\/a> has declared Suleiman Abdulrazaq as the winner of Okene I state constituency at the Saturday&#8217;s polls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abdulrazaq is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and will be representing the constituency at the State House of Assembly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The winner emerged after polling the highest number of votes, defeating nine other contenders in the election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He polled 16,430 votes, far ahead of the first runner-up and candidate of the People&#8217;s Democratic Party (PDP), Suberu Azamare Yakubu who polled 4,169 votes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Isah Omeiza came third with 927 votes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Announcing the results, the Returning Officer, Dr. Osuola Uzoma declared \u201cthat Suleiman Abdulrazaq of APC having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, the APC at the time of filing this report, won over 20 of the 25 <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2023\/02\/27\/kogi-assembly-member-jimoh-omiata-dies-at-lagos-hospital\/\">House of Assembly<\/a> seats in the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Suleiman Abdulrazaq as the winner of Okene I state constituency&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2,22],"tags":[93,1154],"class_list":{"0":"post-6024","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-news","7":"category-politics","8":"tag-kogi-assembly","9":"tag-suleiman-abdulrazaq"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.1 -
