{"id":5153,"date":"2022-11-17T22:52:01","date_gmt":"2022-11-17T21:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=5153"},"modified":"2022-11-17T22:52:01","modified_gmt":"2022-11-17T21:52:01","slug":"were-working-on-power-restoration-at-fce-okene-aedc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/were-working-on-power-restoration-at-fce-okene-aedc\/","title":{"rendered":"We\u2019re Working on Power Restoration at FCE Okene \u2013 AEDC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Tope Sunday<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has disclosed that it was working hard to fix the faulty transformer and restore electricity supply to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2021\/09\/03\/fg-retains-dr-umar-hassan-as-provost-fce-okene\/\">Federal College of Education, Okene<\/a>, Kogi State.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company in a statement said it was working with the management of the institution ensure the power restoration in the school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The institution had over the weekend lamented that it was unable to resume for second semester after its transformer broke down leaving the institution without public power supply for over 42 days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AEDC, however, debunked reports that it was at loggerhead with FCE management, adding that the school is an important customer to the business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1537 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/AEDC-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"AEDC \" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company explained that it places a high premium on its customers thus will never deliberately inflict pain or discomfort to them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While the company acknowledges the existence of the complaint presented by the FCE, AEDC stated that it has since swung into action by ensuring the swift repairs of the damaged transformer bearing in mind the sensitivity of the role of FCE in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTill date, both parties have been in constant communication regarding the progress made on the repairs while committing to conclude the repairs within 3 weeks from the date of this publication\u201d, the utility added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement also quoted the AEDC Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Donald Etim as saying: \u201cThis is one case we have taken very seriously. From the onset, we have broken protocol and even tagged it as top priority to get it resolved.
