{"id":4153,"date":"2022-08-31T16:36:34","date_gmt":"2022-08-31T16:36:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=4153"},"modified":"2023-05-05T10:32:27","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T09:32:27","slug":"kogi-govt-releases-monarch-from-detention-after-one-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/kogi-govt-releases-monarch-from-detention-after-one-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi Govt Releases Monarch from Detention after One Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has freed the paramount ruler of Ajaokuta and Ohi of Eganyi, HRH Musa Isah Achuja from Police detention where he spent one month. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8080026755787218\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8080026755787218\" data-ad-slot=\"7193833156\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebirareporters.com\">ebirareporters.com<\/a> learnt that the ruler was released earlier in the day, as the Achujas have taken to Facebook to rejoice over their Father&#8217;s return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFather, Am happy to see you with your life successful,&#8221; Achuja Osheiza wrote.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recall that the Governor had the Monarch detained and the Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government Area queried following <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2022\/07\/30\/bandits-kill-3-policemen-5-vigilantes-in-kogi\/\">an attack by gunmen in the council that left eight security personnel dead.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Governor Bello would later convene a security meeting with Heads of security agencies, Chairmen of Local Government Areas and paramount traditional rulers, explaining <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2022\/08\/02\/why-i-detained-ohi-of-eganyi-gov-yahaya-bello-speaks\/\">why he had the Eganyi Monarch in detention and refused bail.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bello said prior the attack, he had received security intelligence reports which indicted the Monarch, and he cautioned him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBefore that very ugly incident, I do receive intelligence and reports from the locals and from various sources, and I did call the Local Government Chairman of Ajaokuta and the paramount ruler of Ajaokuta, particularly the Ohi of Ajaokuta. Reports reaching me from your domain is not palatable, he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bello said he was not going to let anybody stain the success he has recorded in securing the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTherefore if your area is going to stain that record, we in government will not take that lightly with you, and I particularly called these two gentlemen because the Chairman reported that particular traditional ruler to me severally about his activities and his involvements with some elements whose activities are questionable in that particular local government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSo I couldn\u2019t bear it your Royal Majesties, I went straight to that Ohi and I cautioned him that this is the last warning. He will pay dearly for any other crime, and mandated him to get rid of all the criminals around. And all he could do is to turn it political, change the whole story as if it\u2019s a clannish issue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Governor then caution against attempts to bail the Ohi of Eganyi out of detention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTherefore, that particular traditional ruler will pay dearly for it. Nobody should ever harbour a criminal. Criminals are useless anytime, and there\u2019s no reason whatsoever by anybody to take to act of criminality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnybody that comes for the bail of that traditional ruler, arrest him and charge him with the same offence. If the person is above you, let me know and I will overturn him at Abuja there.
