{"id":3958,"date":"2022-08-11T06:44:46","date_gmt":"2022-08-11T06:44:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=3958"},"modified":"2023-05-09T10:16:18","modified_gmt":"2023-05-09T09:16:18","slug":"kogi-national-judiciary-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/kogi-national-judiciary-games\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi to Host National Judiciary Games\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8080026755787218\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8080026755787218\" data-ad-slot=\"7193833156\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kogi State will host the 2022 edition of the National Sports for Judiciary on Aug. 21, an official has said.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr Emeka Ndili, President, National Sports for Judiciary, announced this on Wednesday in a statement issued in Lokoja.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMore than 400 athletes are being expected to converge at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, for the sporting events.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Already, inspection of the facilities at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium went well even though we are still going to look into some areas that need urgent renovation, most especially the road leading to the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are glad that the government of Gov. Yahaya Bello has graciously given us the nod to host the game here in Kogi.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8080026755787218\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8080026755787218\" data-ad-slot=\"7193833156\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe 10day game is expected to commence on Aug. 21 and ends Aug. 30 with all the judicial staff across the country taking part in the game,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ndili said that the choice of Kogi by the association was largely due to the peaceful nature of the confluence state in spite of the wide security challenges in the country.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that he had been in Lokoja metropolis on a visit for two weeks now without any security breach.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSince I came, my movements day and night in preparation for this game is not met with any serious security challenge,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adili, however, commended the efforts of the Bello\u2019s administration for being proactive towards ensuring the safety of lives and property in the state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He expressed the hope of the association to see a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the sports tournament.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The president said that 11 different sports are expected to be competed for including Football, Basketball, Handball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Draft, Chess and Athletics.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that Bello was expected to declare the game open, while the acting chief judge of the federation would be the special guest of honor and the acting chief judge of Kogi would be the chief host.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The News Agency of Nigeria reports that this would be the second time Kogi is hosting the judiciary game having hosted it 2016.
